When did they stop allowing you to view and download the txt files for the soundboards? I haven't been visiting the GD section here at the LMA as much lately.

Sorry, nothing really substantially related to the discussion, I just noticed the new limitations and wanted to say that I think it's ass.

Happened a few months ago; I've never spotted an explanation. It is quite annoying, but as others have mentioned, there are workarounds to get the text files.

since it's nothing really substantially related to the discussion, I'll weigh in..I noticed that too. So I just go to LL or bt.etree, find the same SB source and copy/paste it to a new txt file. Yes, it is a pain in the arse

Here's an easier method.

Take the URL for any sbd show. Replace the word "details" with "download."

You'll find more than just the text files. Shhhhhhhh.

Yeah, I know, the "back door." I've known about it since 2005, I think everybody does, probably no need to "shhhh."

But thank you, though, despite my knowledge I didn't even think of trying the "details/download" thing. I was just more surprised that you can't access the non-musical content. It's especially helpful for topping off torrents. Yeah I can get the info elsewhere, I still just don't get why they removed all that stuff. Guess I'll read that old thread from April.
